Technorati

This is a great search engine for bloggers. The idea of seperating blogs with general information is great. It helps people find what they are looking for without having to go through things that don't relate at all.
There is also a place for people to develop, this is great for all kinds of people who are online. This site is a very useful place for many different kinds of people.

Delicious

I think that this is a great idea. I move from computer to computer and house to house all the time and this is a great way to keep my favorites somewhere that I don't have to actually carry my computer around with me. This is a great way to manage the things that I like along with the things that I need for work or for school.
Check it out, I think you will like it:)

YouTube

OK, so we are suppose to post a video that has meaning.... I don't know what kind of meaning he means, but to me all the video's that my sister is in have meaning. This is because she is a comedian who is living in LA and is working everyday on becoming a famous actress. So it may not be important to you, but to me it is very important:) Here is a collection of some pieces of her shorts that she put together,(view below) hope you enjoy:)

You Tube is a great and horrible website, it can be used for good and bad. There are many videos that are educational. For example, our tech class uses some videos through youtube to show us how to complete our assignments. You Tube can be used to show videos to students on subjects that maybe can't be demonstrated by the teacher, or the class doesn't have access to.

Teachers must be careful though. They must monitor their students while they are utilizing You Tube, there are different videos that maybe students shouldn't be watching, and it is our responsibility to make sure that they don't get to see them.
Enjoy youtube.com:)

Things I like in 3 articles

For the tech class I need to write about things that were interesting in three of the articles we were assigned to read.....
So, "Examining Social Software in Teacher Education" is an article about teachers and social networking through the internet. It talks about how this can be a good and a bad thing, but many teachers automatically think it is bad. This is an interesting article because it shows teachers how they can grow as a learner and a teacher. They can collaborate with others to make themselves better teachers, but they can also relate with the students and teach them how to use the software safely.

"Social Networking" also talks about how this kind of software can be used. Facebook, Myspace, and Wikipedia are mentioned in this article. This article talks more about the websites themselves and how they came about. This is interesting because most people have no idea how the sites were made and what about them keep people interested.

NEOMILLENNIAL USER EXPERIENCE DESIGN
STRATEGIES: UTILIZING SOCIAL NETWORKING
MEDIA TO SUPPORT “ALWAYS ON” LEARNING STYLES
Is interesting because it talks about learning styles of our students. Students are now "hardwired" and this is different from the learning most teachers are used to.

We as teachers need to utilize technology with our students, because this is how the world is today. If we ignore the fact that our students, parents, and fellow co-workers are on the internet, how is this helping our students learn?
